Q&A: Principal Game Producer, Amit Samji speaks to CasinoScout

Amit Samji, our Principal Game Producer at Push Gaming spoke to CasinoScout following the launch of the providers hit game Fish ‘n’ Nudge

We have our rods and reels ready to take on Fish ‘n’ Nudge, your next release, can you tell us more about this aquatic title?
Fish ‘n’ Nudge of course boasts the ever-popular fishing theme players are traditionally drawn to but we have included a selection of different features and mechanics to allow the title to be unique and provide new thrills for those who enjoy the genre.

In the base game, lures, shells and rods comprise some of the symbols in keeping with the overall aquatic aesthetics. These must form a matching combination across the title's 20 paylines to unlock a win. A fisherman that acts as a wild, substitutes for other symbols making it easier to form wins.

Additionally, the 5x4 reels can be overlayed by a net symbol. These always land as a stack of four and will proceed to be nudged down one space on the game board each spin until leaving the matrix. Nets will collect any fish symbols landed on them and will transform the wild present into a collector of all instant prizes present on the reels boosting win potential.

How do anglers win the bonus and what should players expect from the free spins round?
At least three scatters are required to gain entry to the bonus with any additional awarding up to a 25x initial starting multiplier. Here, the number of spins won is infinite with players needing a net symbol anywhere on the reels to be granted another spin continuing till there are no more nets present on the reels.

This also increases the multiplier by 1x each spin and is reminiscent of the player-favourite bonus in Razor Shark. The increasing multiplier is only applied to instant cash prizes collected and not symbol wins generated but with an infinite number of spins players can accrue numerous wins whilst trying to land a big fish!

Your next animal-themed release Boss Bear, will be released on the 22nd of November. Can you tell us more about this title?
Boss Bear should be familiar to fans of our games, with the character being from the same universe as the panda from Big Bamboo. Consider him the polar opposite of the tranquil, meditative panda from that release though, as Boss Bear focuses on a crime syndicate.

Players should be expecting extra features that will be recognizable to those who have played Big Bamboo with the coin feature, reveal mechanics and a free spins round being enhanced in this gangster-inspired release.

Outside of upcoming game launches how have you found the Netherlands market and how does it differ from other markets?
We have found great success in the Netherlands over the years, with players gravitating towards our exciting player-focused releases. Many slots in our back catalogue have become staples of slot enthusiasts' play sessions and see Dutch players regularly returning to Jammin’ Jars, the Fat series, Razor Shark and more. Some of our newer titles such as Razor Returns have also been incredibly popular within The Netherlands with players enjoying the familiar aesthetic blended with enhanced gameplay features.

Each market does have its nuances however one thing remains the same regardless of which country players are located in, fundamentally they are looking for fun, entertainment experiences and our vast portfolio of hits is enjoyed around the world because of that.

What else are Push Gaming working on as we come to the end of the year?
We are expanding where we can be found and entering many new markets for the first time! With Colombia and Greece market entries lined up in the coming months, players there will have access to our catalogue of games for the very first time. We are also working on the releases you will be seeing in 2024 with an increased roadmap of games ready to be rolled out in the new year!
